jack's big day...

ok so i have to brag for a minute...not only did jack take a 2 hour nap, he went down tonight without crying or nursing to sleep! he actually smiled at me when i put him in his crib. oh and he pulled himself up in class today! it was rocking day today and he was on the row boat [rocking] and pulled up to a standing position by grabbing onto the bar:) he's just getting so big, it makes me both sad and happy all at once. i almost forgot, he tried pears today and had banana-peach-mango yesterday--loved them both, i couldn't get them in fast enough!? anyways, that's all i really have for now...had to document the sleep because we all know it'll never happen again!

ba, ba, ba & the crawl...

jack is sooooo close to crawling. the butt goes up in the air and he scoots and rolls all over the place. i just took these videos of him as he was cracking me up...look at the funny face he makes when he babbles...he looks like he's in pain!?

bananacado anyone??

we tried bananacado last night with dinner, and j loved it! he couldn't get it in fast enough!! i wasn't sure how it would go over blended, although he does like both banana and avocado separate. he's such a good eater...i wouldn't say he eats a ton, but its quality not quantity:)

i pretty much have to take jack everywhere these days, if i don't he gets a bit upset b/c he can't see me...here we are in the bathroom. i was brushing my teeth and cleaning it up a bit...my next mission was to put a new roll of toilet paper up...i guess he thought it was meant for him to play with?! ya know, whatever keeps him happy so i can get something done is fine by me;)

ba, ba, ba

so i finally caught jack on camera saying ba, ba, ba...he was cracking me up tonight. as you can see he kept bumping into the door frame and talking to it--i think they're friends!



here are just a couple pics from the last few days...we've spent a lot of time outside with the weather being so nice, but i keep forgetting to bring the camera!? jack seems to get more and more excited these days...his arms and legs kick and punch whenever he's happy, and he tends to bite your shoulder out of excitement(this one i could do without:). he giggles and screeches on the swings at the park, that'll have to be the next video--it's so cute!

a little blurry, but this has been his favorite spot these days. he likes to just sit and chew on just about anything...

so apparently jack doesn't think the world is all that interesting..he's done this a handful of times lately. i think it's so funny, but i feel bad because it can't be all that comfortable...

fun at grandma & grandpa's...

so jack and i spent a week up in saratoga visiting, and it was very nice and relaxing! jack got to spend a lot of time outside because the weather was beautiful...he loved it! unfortunately, we both had colds for most of the week and i had mastitis (again)...having my mom around was a huge help!

i forgot to take pictures, but jack tried green beans. let's just say they're an acquired taste and jack has yet to acquire it! the sounds and faces were priceless.

mike and i decided that jack's favorite part of grandma & grandpa's house is bailey the dog! too bad bailey wants nothing to do with him...every time bailey comes into the room or gets near jack he gets a huge smile over his face and makes this panting/heh-heh-heh sound. we think he's trying to call the dog...it's too cute! although this only gives mike more bargaining power to actually get a dog!

belated, but a lazy sunday morning...

here are some pics from this past sunday...it was kind of gloomy out so we took our time getting out of our pjs! jack and mike spent along time on the floor, and we practiced standing and crawling. i have to say he can develop both of those skills verrrry slowly!





this was from yesterday...i had to take it b/c it was one of the nicest days yet...we went outside without a jacket! hopefully this is a new trend:) not sure what he is looking at, but something caught his attention.

as you can see, jack has put a lot of effort into filling out those thighs...i actually think they look bigger in person!?


this is my favorite..."whatchu lookin at?" face! he looks like a tough guy!!


on another note, we went to the doctor yesterday for his 6 month check-up. he is in the 50-75% for height, weight & head circumference. his stats are as follows; 18 lbs 6 oz. & 27 inches. he is up just under 3 lbs since his 4 month appt. & has grown 2 inches. i've asked him to stop growing now...we'll see if he listens!?

so we celebrated jack's 1/2 birthday by taking him on the swings...it was beautiful out and we took full advantage!






so let's see, at six months jack has accomplished quite a lot...he rolls over, sits up very well, babbles a bit, has 2 teeth (guarantee the top 2 aren't far behind:), and scoots--he sticks his little butt up in the air so we're pretty sure it's only a matter of time that he's mobile! i can't believe how time flies. we're so amazed by him and thankful for him each day. i can only imgaine what the next six months will bring!?

jack is finally an official...

catholic that is! we had his baptism over this past weekend. he was such a good little guy throughout both the ceremony and after party. while he probably won't remember the day, nor does he comprehend the sacrament he received, both mike and i are so proud of him! just about everyday we both look at each other in amazement, he has brought such an amazing dimension to our lives...if possible i grow to love him more each day. i know it's sappy, but i've never loved in this capacity before.
