fun at the race track

we headed to the race track for breakfast this morning, primarily to take jack on the backstretch tour. he loves "horseys" as he calls them and was even more excited when he saw that there was a tram involved! its rather hard to wrangle him these days, and considering there was a 20 minute wait for the tram proceeded by a 30 minute guided tour, he did quite well. he kept asking to pet the horseys and give them hugs and kisses--which he loves to do these days:)

we were waiting in line when jack spotted the fountain and "jockeys"

jack waits patiently for mike to come and help him

i just love this pic because jack is giving mike a hug:)

on another note, while we've been staying here in saratoga, jack has become quite fond of apa's (my dad) garden. he's been caught stealing tomatoes and then eating them before you can get to him numerous times!! just about everyday he asks to go and pick "amatoes" as he calls them. the hard part has been trying to get him to comprehend that the green ones are not ripe:/ we also picked and cooked zucchini the other night and he loved it! hearing him say zucchini was too cute!

with all the talk of vegetables, the below pics wouldn't be nearly as funny if i didn't tell the back story...he and greg were shucking the corn tonight and while greg wasn't looking jack decided the corn looked good enough to eat. needless to say there were numerous bites out of just about every ear of corn at dinner! he likes corn, but for whatever reason he's never eaten it off of the cob so below are some ics of his first corn on the cob:)

  1. Hi Jack,
We miss you already. It is very boring here now that you went home. I miss you asking about taking a couple of cars, and about picking tomatoes and zucchini.
We are glad you had a nice visit and we are sending you lots of hugs and kissses.
Give your new baby a kiss for us.
    Love,
    MiMi and Apa
