honey, honey...

everyone is "honey" these days. thanks to mimi, jack (or flo as we like to refer to him) has picked up this little moniker for everyone. almost most of his sentences begin with "honey, honey..." it really is hilarious!

we went to visit school yesterday, and jack did great. we're planning to enroll him for 3 days/week in the fall. we went to observe and jack jumped right in. he didn't even think twice about. i thought he might be a bit clingy, but he wasn't at all! he of course referred to the other kids as "honey," which i'm pretty sure confused the heck out them! he even sat for circle time and joined in during "song" time. :sigh: my big boy...

lastly, we are still working on these 2 year molars...he's pretty miserable over it. he keeps waking up from a much too short nap telling me his teeth hurt--poor kid.

this is jack's word of the moment!? everything is beautiful (with a breathless voice!)...who knows where he got it from, but it is too much.

however, not everything is beautiful in the behavior department these days...jack is for sure testing my patience and his limits. we have had a lot of "no" lately which is generally said in a not so "inside" voice!? i realize this is just another phase, but he can definitely move past it any day now as far i'm concerned;)

on another note, we started swim lessons 2 weeks ago. on the first day jack was in the class with 3 other girls, and lets just say that jack was the remedial one...as these girls swam across the pool unassisted, and there was jack chatting the instructor's ear off rather than kicking his way across! however, i did have a very proud mommy moment when mike reported back that he instructor told him jack was by far the most well-behaved child in the class this past week. so he may not be able to swim across the pool, but he's a good listener....as with everything, baby steps:)
