central park

we took the kids to central park on saturday for a picnic and play a little baseball...jack had so much fun on the great lawn running around. he is so determined when it comes to playing sports, he takes them very seriously as you can see by the look on his face in the pictures below!

i want to sleep in a baby bed...

so we're experiencing a bit of a regression these days...a lot of whining, clinging, tantrums & insisting on using daley's high chair, climbing in her bed, needing to be held-oy!? if i didn't have a clingy, teething infant this would all be fine, but by the end of the day i'm about ready to walk out the door!

ironically, jack climbs into the crib all by himself, leading me to believe that he does not in fact need a "baby" bed-lol!?

it's just a phase, it's just a phase...

this is what i keep reminding myself when by 9:30 am i'm already ready to pull my hair out!? here i was thinking i skated through the "terrible two's" and they weren't so terrible, but alas jack was just slow to find his independence and voice. not only has he gotten quite bossy, but he has become more defiant. this is also coupled with the fact that separation anxiety had reared its ugly head once again (think bedtime woes and the inability to do anything without him needing to be right.by.my.side.!?). i know all of this will pass, and we'll be on to the next phase, but man when you're in the middle of it the outlook seems bleak!?

six flags fun...

we took jack to six flags/great escape last week and had so much fun! it was his first time on a ride other than a carousel. he was a bit tentative at first, but by the end he couldn't wait to get to the next ride!

he wasn't too keen on the rollercoaster...

he did love driving the big rigs though!

here we are waiting in line for the dreaded swan boat ride...we only rode it in honor of my mom--it is one of her favs and she was home babysitting daley!

we ended the day at the "wiggles world" splash pad...jack certainly got his second wind and did not want to leave:)

funny story behind this one...we were waiting in line for the cars and at the last minute jack decided he HAD to ride with me. needless to say there was no negotiating, and mike and my dad ended up driving the car together-lol!
