we went to jack's 15 month check-up yesterday. granted he's 15.5 months, but i guess as long as we make it within his 15th month, we're fine! all looks good. the dr. said he looks perfectly healthy, and his lungs are especially healthy--jack screamed the moment the dr. walked in the door. he cried the entire time and for at least 1/2 of it the dr. wasn't even near him! he's progressing fine. i think i'm more worried over the fact that he doesn't really have many words than the dr. is, so that's a bit of a relief. i'm actually amazed he doesn't have any words considering we read all day long...that's his favorite thing to do these days. well that and get into trouble;) ironically the dr. and i were discussing safety and keeping things out of reach, etc. i of course assured him that everything is out of reach for jack, and then he went and pulled this little maneuver this morning...
i turn my back for one second and he's knocked this off the counter and made a run for it...i of course grabbed the camera before reprimanding and as you'll see that came back to bite me in the behind!
how can you get mad at a face like this?

don't mind if i do...

maybe if i turn my back from her she'll stop telling me no;)

and then i'll just turn the bag upside down and shake...

ma, here you forgot a crumb...

he really is too much these days...from his new-found temper, to his constant pulling things out of the hamper, off of the shelves, out of the garbage (eww), he has definitely developed a personality. literally as i type he's managed to wedge himself between the chair and ottoman. guess i should go!
oh and one more thing...his stats:
50-75% for weight
25-50% for height
90% for head circumference
so he's kinda short, fairly average weight and has a big head...hope he starts to even out a bit more!! although, i do think the head measurement was off because he was squirming and screaming when the nurse was trying to do it!
he got his flu shot booster, but we're delaying the mmr and chicken pox for now.

Glad to see that Jack is as healthy as ever! I think his head is large for obvious reasons... you can't be so smart with a tiny brain, can you?! Well, that's how we justify the large heads in this family!
Be ever so cautious as Jack learns the joy of climbing up and playing at kitchen tables. Ben fell off a chair and hit his head the other day and we had a big scare. He soon became very sleepy and then perked up, only to fall asleep in my arms soon after- totally out of character for him. We almost took him to the ER... but he woke up, was his normal happy/wild self and then WOULDN'T nap the rest of the day. Whew.......... I can't wait for this chair phase to pass!
Love ya, Jack! See you soon, handsome!
I love the picture where his pinky finger is up as he takes a cookie....so so so cute!
