grrr...ugh...

this is the way things are going these days...my once sweet little guy has become so defiant!? he is just looking for ways to test me and time-outs don't seem to be working because when i threaten him with them he walks over to his "spot" willingly! i've gotten out my arsenal and have begun reading feverishly in hopes that i will be better prepared to discipline. we shall see...

on another note, i think it is time to give up the morning nap as jack is currently complaining from his crib. i mean it was only a 1/2 hour nap anyways. what i don't get is that he was yawning and zoning out minutes before i put him in?! just when you think you can read their tired signs i suppose:/

here are some pics from the last few days (notice the forehead bump...you can thank dad for that;)...
fun with fingerpaints...

mmm...tasty (no worries, their non-toxic:)

what? do i have something on my lip?!

ok, i'm done...can you let me out? (i had to put his chair there to deter him from fleeing the scene with fingerpaints all over himself!)

this is what you get when you say cheese!

again...cheese!

Sweet baby bump, Jack.I think it makes you look tough. Kris, don't worry about it, my oldest brother lived for several months between the ages of one and two with a bump on his forehead because he fell down quite a bit. Now he flies airplanes for a living. This comforting thought brought to you by Aunt Jenny.
Smooches.

He is still a sweetie, even if he does drive you crazy. Jack please paint me a picture for my refrigerator.
He will test you for the next 20 years.... Daddy and I think it is so funny. He was the topic of our dinner conversation, as usual.
We love you no matter what.
I will talk to him nd let him know it isn't OK to be a mischief maker.
Love,
Grandma D

Hi Jack,

Gram Taylor would love a beautiful picture too! You are so squeezable! I think mom already knows you're going to have good days and testy days...Don't blink mom, he'll be all grown up before you know it. Kristin, you are doing an awesome job! (you are a much braver woman than me with those finger paints)! :-)
Love, Jean
