he is so my son...

there are moments when you can absolutely see glimpses of yourself in your children, and today was a perfect example. we're moving jack up to a 5-point harness booster seat, and giving daley jack's current car seat. i thought jack would be so excited, and i even sweetened the whole event by telling him all about the cup holders it has for his snack and drink-lol! but alas, you could hear the apprehension in his voice as we were telling him about it, and then when he comprehended that his seat would be no longer, he started to get really upset and in his little voice he proclaimed that he wanted his seat to be his forever. it was then that i realized that much like me, jack resists change. he loves his routine, and for the most part can go with the flow if we're out and about, but dare i switch things up in the morning when we're just at home, he is not a happy camper. he likes things the way that they are, and i can definitely not blame him because i too like the constant in my life day in and day out.
